Giant Ant Colony is a World Wonder [fascinating video]

Everything here seems to be designed by an architect. Using the collective free will of the ants, an impressive and rarely seen structure has been built. This construction is very complex and it is the equivalent of building the Great Wall of China. The whole thing covers 538 square feet in width and 36 feet in depth, 40 tons of soil being moved around.
Now that is a wow! It is still a mystery how these ants can coordinate themselves so well, work so hard and follow their purpose in nature without a distraction, like they are a real army.

Fearless Cat Chases and Attacks Bear [amazing video]

OMG, who needs a watch dog when you have a super-hero cat? Really brave and lucky, i should mention…Chicken silly bear šŸ˜€

The cat was already outside. The women did not let the cat out to fight the bear. She opens a window, not a door, so she can yell at the bear to try to scare it away from the cat that was already out on the porch. I am tired of the comments saying she is stupid for letting the cat outside to fight the bear, because she did not. The cat was outside and made its own choice to go fight the bear. That is why cats are awesome, they make their own choices and it wasn’t scared of the bear.

Woman and baby laugh as their house cat fights a bear. The bear is on the porch trying to take the garbage, then the cat chases the bear out into the driveway and gives it a couple of swats on the nose. The bear then takes the garbage and runs into the woods. Neither the bear or the cat were harmed in this video. Who needs a guard dog when you’ve got a cat.

Some have seen real pictures of it, some only imagine space from the descriptions they hear. But for those who dare more, we have gathered here 40 Stunning Outer Space Scenes, which put the rich and creative imagination of some of the best CG designers into real mind blowing images. Otter and Kathy – A Story of Love and Forgiveness

“There are truly angels living among us and I met one recently while on a walk in my neighborhood. Kathy was walking her 3 dogs, one of which was physically disabled and needed a special chair to get around. She explained that “Otter” had been abused as a puppy and his hind legs were paralyzed. She is truly an angel and the love she shares with Otter is so pure and unending. This is a story of dedication, forgiveness and true unconditional love. ”

The Lost Dream

The dream

I finally saw my dream coming true. I didnā€™t win the lottery, as I was hoping, but my business was going well and after a few years of hard work I decided to follow my dream and go see the world. Now I finally made time to go on a ship crew…

Feeling like the master of the world, I packed my bags and headed to the ocean. It was going to be a long way and a lot of lazy days were showing ahead. Enjoying the water, the nature, relaxing and enjoying life. It seemed that I forgot how to.

Even if it was mid summer, the breeze cooled my face and made me stay on the deck for hours, staring at the seagles and the immensity of waterā€¦I was going far away, to see the beauties and wonders of the world. What I didnā€™t know was the fact that this trip would change my whole view over lifeā€¦

Armed with touristic maps and guides, I tried to find out as much as possible about the exotic places I was going to get to. Clear blue waters, souveniers, wonderful animals and people with such different occupations from what I was used to! And I was going to see all that!

Feeling enthusiastic like a child, after the sun tanned my face for so many days, I was told that we only have one more day left on the water. I felt a little disappointed because I didnā€™t see the whales swimming, as they promised, but I was still hoping for dolphins. And they didnā€™t fail me! Being the last day on the ship, I decided to wake up early and takes pictures of the sunrise. Boy, what spectacular framed memories will these make in my office!

I was getting a bit chilly when something popping out of the water made me forget about it. It was indeed a dolphin! No, wait, there are more! And there is a little one! Must be a baby. I was over my head with joy, trying to take pictures as they swam along with the ship, jumping out of the water and playing. Very curious, I was following the babyā€™s moves and I saw him approach a floatingā€¦thing. It started playing with it, throwing the object in the air and making circles around it, after it landed on the water again. But the trick only lasted for a few seconds, because when the object hit the water for the third time, a black substance spread from it, on the tiny dolphinā€™s head. Then I heard a squeeking sound and junior was gone into the deep. All the other followed in a rush. ā€œThey act like humansā€, I said to myself, disappointed that my show had ended.

Alone in the cold morning breeze, I completely forgot about my sunsetā€¦maybe because this morning the sun never showed. I was busy admiring the dolphins and didnā€™t see the clouds on the sky. And I was so busy that I didnā€™t notice that there were more floating objects on the waterā€™s surfaceā€¦They were mostly plastic bags and can with industrial oil.
Outraged at the people, myself and the whole world, I demanded to see the captain or someone who could answer my question. The money I had paid for this trip proved that even the captain is an ordinary manā€¦I was promised whales! Where were they? The agency said that in so many weeks spent on the ocean, you can see whales almost every two days or soā€¦

But the agency doesnā€™t know or care, explained the captain. For a moment I thought that he was amused, but then I saw a sad look on his face. The whales disappeared for about 2 years now, since the number of harbours increased and since the rich people decided that they want to become more rich, installing huge iron cranes and mechanisms on fake platforms in the ocean, for getting all the oilā€¦Even the dolphins are seen more rarely and often the natives find dead animals on the shoreā€¦It was even in a local newspaper that a fisherman found a dead dolphin with a plastic bag on its head and some algaes, which were assumed to gotten it stuck thereā€¦But of course that it never crossed the borders of the small island, as the newspaper was bought by a rich white man, and then dissolved.

I had nothing more to sayā€¦I couldnā€™t say anything more. Each passenger received as souvenier a shark tooth. I didnā€™t want mine. I could only spend a few days on my exotic dream island, as the stories that I heard every day only ruined my vacation. Some were told, some were seenā€¦The commerce with everything that can be found alive in the ocean was flourishing and all the excited tourists paid great deals of money for them. But I only had one word in my headā€¦POLLUTION.
Why canā€™t people see what they are destroying? The waters, the animals, the plants, the lifeā€¦their lives! Maybe not theirs yet, but what about their children and grandchildren? Why are they so greedy and stupid? Why do they do harm to what keeps us alive? The waterā€¦the Earth.

So my trip brought only sadness and frustration of being able to do nothing about itā€¦The modern newspapers talk about it, the factories recieve fines, we invented a Green Day for Earth and we like to debate it for ever, but we donā€™t actually do somethingā€¦So instead of filling my office with beautiful clear ocean pictures, I framed the following:

The Nightmare

A Wild Soul – The Amazing Story of a Lion

A Wild Soul - The Amazing Story of a Lion

I used to be happy. Those memories are pretty blurry now, but, like scars, engraved in my heart. And I will never forget that dayā€¦I was just a cub, running happily next to my mother and brothers with all the excitement someone discovering the world can have, in the green tall grass, under the clear blue sky and through the hot dry air. I was learning about my nature and discovering my instincts. But the process ended in a blink of an eyeā€¦

After that day, I can only remember steel bars and depressed creatures around me. Humans thought that being so young, this zoo will rapidly become my home and I will adapt, being playful and entertaining for the visitors. I adapted, sure, physically, as I never grew up to be one of those healthy lions with shiny fur or nicely developed muscles. My eyes were always calm and I rarely new anger in here, because the sadness in my heart never left room for any other feelings. I adapted, waiting patiently, to be fed with a piece of smelly meet. I learned to control my thirst until I could receive some fresh water.

I was told that lions are kings, but this world has proven differently. I am just a prisoner. My soul is trapped between two worlds: one that I can never forget and one that I can never escape from. Iā€™ve been told that this is home, but how can these brainless beings call ā€œhomeā€ a place that takes away the most important thing one can haveā€¦After so many years, ironically, being in such a small place, I have learned a lot. I have learned that when others can harm you, anger wonā€™t help. That will only starve you. I have learned that being calm and gentle might make them give you treats. And I have learned that I hate it when they come in packs, point at me and flash that strong light in my eyes, to have a ā€œmemoryā€.

They usually come with their babies and are very noisy and excited. But from time to time, it happens to see one male or female human, alone, staring and trying to communicate with me. And I sense the sadness and despair in their voices, trying to ease their souls to someone like meā€¦a poor fallen king. And then I sense fear of their own world, of their own failures and mistakes. And those are the moments that should please me the most, by taking an unfair revenge of those who put me hereā€¦But I feel pity and frustration, and I wish I could scream and tell them what fools they are. Humans, nothing is impossible for you! You have the most valuable and precious thing in this worldā€¦You have your freedom! You have friends and families, you have where to run wild if you want to. But these people Iā€™ve seen made me think that they were the real captives, captives of their own fears and suspicions.

Feeling unable to make them see the reality, I acted friendly, at least to let them know that I understandā€¦ I have no other means of being nice to trapped souls, but humans can help each other see the light, not the darkness. And I wish I could tell humans that true friends in life are not the ones who say that they understandā€¦but the ones who shout at you, angrily, to get up and fightā€¦and to cherish your freedom, because freedom is like a magical tree, with new branches and leaves every dayā€¦but be careful not to cut the roots.

I am old now. I donā€™t know how old. I can barely move anymore and I stopped seeing the flashes of the ā€œmemoriesā€ taken by people. But my soul is running free like in that far away dayā€¦ And I wish I could have that just one more timeā€¦ I could have never guessed that it will become just a faint memoryā€¦ There are so many things I would have done, if I only knewā€¦

The Day That Changed My Life

The Day That Changed My Life

East-european winters are always cold. Every January freezes my blood at the first breath I take outside, in the early foggy mornings when I have to get to work. The cold makes you cover even your nose, to avoid the painful sting of the frost when you breathe in.

It was one of those mornings when I just wanted to call my boss to tell him that I quit, because it was inhuman to walk in 10 centimeters of snow in a time of the day when you could only distinguish everything as shadows, because the sun refused to show up. But the common sense was ringing bells in my head so I kept walking. I was never more anxious to get to the bus station and I started making ā€œwarmā€ wishes to the bank which was delaying my credit for the car ridiculously much.

Swearing in my head and thinking of all the work I had to do at the office, I was fully awake now. But I had a few seconds of doubt about it, when I heard a low faint voice from the corner of the gray building which was waiting to be demolished for over a year now. ā€œDonā€™t worryā€, it said, ā€œweā€™re gonna survive this one tooā€¦ā€. I stopped. My first thought was to quickly search for some small change to give it to the begger, but turning to see the exact source of the voice, I saw an old woman petting a dog. I couldnā€™t tell which one of the two looked more awful and skinny. The ground where they stood was without snow, covered in newspapers, and an old smelly blanket, with so many holes in it, that you could barely call it a blanket. The woman didnā€™t seem to notice me and I was staring like a fool. She took a loaf of bread from a small plastic bag and gave it all to the dog. The poor creature was drooling at it, but only took a bite. Then it waited. But the woman seemed to encourage it, saying ā€œgo on, eat it all, itā€™s your turn this morningā€, pushing the loaf towards to dog again.

Without even thinking, I searched my bag, always full of useless stuff, like mirrors and lipsticks and all sorts of bills and found the sandwich I had prepared for my office lunch, as I was usually too busy to take a real lunch break. And I gave it to the woman. Without being able to say a word, seeing my bus I started running, forgetting how slippery my shoes were.

All day I could only hear the womanā€™s words and her sparkly eyes after I gave my sandwich. That day I had a real break at noon and ate even the desert. When I got back home, the woman was goneā€¦the dog was staring at everyone who passed by, then with a disappointed sad look, started smelling the blanket. The next morning I took with me 3 sandwiches, but again I only saw the dog. I left them there, but the poor animal didnā€™t even touch them.

After a couple of days, my neighbour paid me a visit and I told him the what happened since that morning. With his black eyebrows raised, he asked me ā€œWhat? You donā€™t know the story?ā€. So he told me that the dog found the begger in that corner one night, almost frozen and it laid cuddled next to her, to keep each other warm. It practically saved her life and they started sharing the bread and the blanket from that dayā€¦But after that morning when I first saw them, she died and was taken awayā€¦And the dog refused by all means to eat or abandon that corner and the blanketā€¦I gave him food in the first days, but it refused to eatā€¦so I stopped. And after a while I didnā€™t see it anymoreā€¦

That day changed my life and made me wake up more cheerful, enjoy my lunch break and a ride by bus. That day made me see the beauty of my life and be thankful for what I have and for what I can do, every moment.
