20 Pictures of Weird and Cute Animal Babies: The Sloth

Sloths are a species of medium-sized arboreal mammals that live in the rainforests of Central and South America. They are weird looking some might say but also have a cute and mild look, inviting you to hug them. Despite their long claws, they are slow and friendly and won’t attack. Their snout is piggy-like and they can be just ADORABLE! Here’s a collection of 20 of these amazing animals in miniature: sloth babies! Enjoy!

Darcy- the title specifically says they are of sloth babies. “20 Pictures of Weird and Cute Animal Babies: The Sloth”

And cute they are! Makes me kind of want one… well, sort of. I think I’ll just stick with our dog and cats.

LOL, Debra! πŸ˜€ Dogs and cats might be easier to look after… even though… considering how slow sloths move, they could make interesting pets too.
    Hugs!

Sloths actually CAN move fast (or faster than you might expect of a sloth), it’s just that they move slowly to avoid notice from their predators and they WILL attack if they feel threatened.
They are adorable as babies, though.

actually I’ve heard that certain species of sloths are vicious and would most likely be playing cats cradle with your large intestines if they feel you get to close to them.

no I have not researched this if you can prove me wrong by all means do so

I heard this on animal planet and I don’t believe that anyone on there would lie about this sort of thing.

Most if not all of these photos were taken at the only existing sloth rescue in Costa Rica. Please visit http://www.slothrescue.org/ and support their work.

They are not vicious, but like any wild animal, will defend themselves if they feel threatened and they do have very large claws.

oh so cute creature. i’ve seen this kind in adult stage. the first time i saw it, i thougt some sympathy because they look helpless always hanging around trees. they are cute in baby stage. i want to hug one if we have any in this country.there’s no substitute (stuffed toy) to a real living huggable creature like this one. Save this specie, please.
